What Bad Worn Brakes Sounds,Acts or looks Like.Grinding Noisy,Rusty Rotors Too
I'm not surprised that alot if places charge so much to replace brakes but only do brake pads only since most can be done with your eyes closed. The real brake job includes rotors and pads and hardware and alot of places don't want to go near it. So look at this video and you can see that a brake pad only repair is just a bandaid, and the rust is just like sandpaper sanding away at the brake pad material till there is no more...
So do the Right job and replace both the rotors and brake pads, they will last longer and stop better.. Enjoy...

Got a Leak of power steering fluid, hard to locate where it is, it could be hidden under a rubber insulation that held water and started to corrode the aluminum pipe line and create just enough of a pin hole to leak like crazy...here is the replacement... typical Jeep design, bulb sockets do not have the wires in the bulb socket, they actually contact seperate contact terminals in the tail light housing by the bulb socket. This car cover is a piece of trash!! It messed up the paint on my 68 cadillac & im gonna have to have it repaired. Within 2 months, budge cover stopped being waterproofing & started leaving white powder on my car. Dont buy!
There are definitely better options out there than the regular store brand stuff but unfortunately people steal them if left out side and they are expensive

Nice video. I need to do this to my suburban. Its already had one leak fixed right around center pillar of doors. There is another pin hole leak by back passenger door. Both leaks to me seem to be from rubbing. They are by mounting clips. I am curious is removing old lines by cutting out would make a cleaner install look and let you weave thick line through running board mounts. I will be buying this asap though. Big suv gets hot in summer time lol
@@christaylor6112 cutting the old ones out would probably make it a cleaner look but then the sifter hoses has nothing to support it along the long frame. The factory replacement comes in 2 pieces and are joined in the middle of the truck if you want original stuff...but this is working fine and thanks for the compliments and thanks for watching too

@@rubrub9609 it makes it little harder to since now they have to bypass these wires but the most important part is to lock down the hood, seen in another video I made on this car. Locking the hood and preventing thieves from getting under the hood to bypass the wiring is key...

Thank you for making this video! Seems like a pretty self explanatory DIY job. I just had my MK7 GTI battery die on me and had to jump it. Had my battery tested which came out perfect. I then had my alternator tested and it was only drawing 12A, so it is on the end of its life. I am the original owner, have a 3000rms watt sound system, running double the amount of power from the factory since 2k miles on the ODO, and now have 179,500 miles on the car. My alternator is the original OEM one. Lasted a long time I would say!

@@alyoungcuda I got both sides done, only broke one tab on the driver's side. The prying with a screwdriver worked, but damaged both sides. I put it on loose afterwards

@@shimpashields983 you can buy a new fuse box, its around $40.00 i believe, then its only the other nut you have to remove
I took my time with an angle grinder... and cut a slot in the nut and came off no problem. Other than some sparks.. no big deal
@@louiev4762 i understand if you don't have the right tools, buying a new fuse block would be the right choice to most people..it would cost the same if you took the terminal and block to a place to have it cut off with these prices they ask for in labor nowadays

When the battery was going dead. What did it cause the car to do? Did it malfunction? Did the panel lights come on?
@@careyscott30 on this car it sat for over a year. A weak battery will turn the engine slower than normal upon start up.
Could you state what year and model ??
This is a 2012 year, most other years are similar for the replacement

If I remember right, yours will use a regular flat one, no special caliper tool for your model..the caliper pistons just push right in...buy the simple hand turning tool

Red hot exhaust is not good, there might be a restriction in the muffler..
